Wait, a solar airplane can fly at night? (also flying cars!)

The Solar Impulse just completed a 26hr, nonstop, solar-powered, non-refueled flight on July 8th over Switzerland. This was the first ever overnight flight by a solar aircraft.
I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning…

I’m a HUGE airplane nerd. Always have been. That means that one of my favorite places to spend a Saturday or Sunday is at an air show. Air shows are held all over the US, mostly during the summer months. There is likely one within a couple hours drive of you no matter where you live.

Almost every airshow is held at a smaller regional airport, although there are a fair few that take place over a lake or coastline instead. Larger international airports almost never host them because of the strain they would put in incoming and outgoing flights.
I sure wish we had subways in Minneapolis.

I really like taking the train in Chicago and DC, it’s a shame we don’t have anything like that here. Plus, if we had a subway we could do this.
And get sued to hell and back when someone stubbed their toe.
